Sunset Sensations

Sample culinary tastings from a celebrated Hudson Valley Chef, Austin Flores of Flores Food Truck, Catering, and Tapas paired with three fine tastes of wine and a wine presentation from Boutique Wines, Spirits, and Ciders! Round out the evening with a tour of our heirloom flower gardens or kitchen gardens that inspire our celebrated local chef!

First tasting course:

Tequenos with a smooth Guasacaca and Queso Fresco. (Venesualian Cheese sticks with a smooth Avocado sauce),

Second tasting course:

Smokey Feijoada over garlic rice topped with toasted cassava flour (Brazilian smokey meat and bean stew),

Third tasting course:

House made Dulce de leche ice cream with caramel tuile and burnt orange drizzle.

Harvest Hunt

A Scavenger Hunt for Decorated Pumpkins! 

 SATURDAYS AND SUNDAYS SEPTEMBER 7 - OCTOBER 20 (And Monday, October 14th)

10 AM - 3 PM (Event closes at 4 PM) 

Come find more than 30 decorated pumpkins and whimsical photo ops hidden among the flowers and trees on a Locust Grove scavenger hunt/story walk on the grounds and in the gardens of our historic Mansion! Tour at your own pace, stay all day or just as long as you’d like!

Costumes are encouraged, and many photo ops, bring a picnic, and enjoy under the trees! This entertaining family program features decorated pumpkins telling the story of Locust Grove; the people and animals who lived and worked at the historic estate since its first famous occupant lived here, Samuel B. Morse the inventor of the telegraph! “Drive” a 1913 “Cadillac,” ring the bell on a historic “train,” sit on “Doodles” the sawhorse pony, and more. This is a rain-or-shine activity.

$10/Person when purchased online for adults and children 4 and over ($15/Person at the door)
Kids under 4 are FREE! And yes, adults need to purchase tickets, as well, as this is a fabulous fundraiser for Locust Grove! 
There are no ticket refunds.

Join us for an evening of spooky fun! Start the evening in our West Gallery with delicious food and signature cocktails from Sugar & Spice Catering. Then follow the trail of pumpkins to our historic mansion for a candlelight tour at twilight. Finish the evening by listening to a classic retelling of the Legend of Sleepy Hollow performed by the incredible Jonathan Kruk in our pet cemetery. 
This event is appropriate for ages 16 and up. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. 

$75 per person, Cash bar (accepting cash only)

This event is a fundraiser for Locust Grove. All proceeds from this event will ensure Locust Grove continues to be a landmark and a resource for the Hudson Valley for generations to come.
